About me

Greetings!

Growing up in a small farm and ranch community, I learned the value of hard work, responsibility and dedication.  However, I had an ever-increasing urge to broaden my world and experience.

So, after attending BYU-Idaho for a year, I labored in Forestry, Ski Resorts and Cattle Ranching, saving what I could to be able to live in South Africa for 2 years during apartheid, while serving a mission with a religious affiliation.

Upon my return, I resumed work in Forestry, Fire-Fighting, Farming and Ranching, joined the National Guard, and eventually attended Southern Utah University.  While going to school and supporting a large family, I created owned and operated a Forestry Business, TreePerfect.  Interim jobs included Assistant Editor for a county newspaper, car salesman, and working in a rocket fuel plant for the production of Ammonium Perchlorate (solid fuel used in the Space Shuttle).

I graduated from Southern Utah University with a BS degree in Education.  I was also enrolled in Graduate Studies in Leadership from the University of Alaska.

After finishing my studies at SUU, I migrated to the “Bush” in Alaska to work in Forestry and Education. Overall, I ended up spending over 12 years in the Alaskan Bush, which included several years as a school administrator (Principal) and a professional timber faller.

Continuing my “informal” International Studies in Language, Culture and Politics, I have also spent some time on five continents and Oceania. I have various degrees of fluency in Afrikaans, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian.

I own a home in Pinedale, Wyoming, and presently work for PureWest Energy.

My son, Adrian, is in the Wyoming Army National Guard

Our Core Values

For God, Family and Country.  Our nation was founded upon Judeo/Christian values.  George Washington, our first President, in his first inauguration address stated, “The propitious smile of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself hath ordained.”
